Erin Thomson (nee Beven) is a registered osteopath and qualified Pilates instructor who is passionate about helping people find their optimal state of health.
After graduating from RMIT University in Melbourne in 2009 with an undergraduate Bachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine, Osteopathy) and a Masters of Osteopathy, Erin worked in Melbourne for three years before moving to Brisbane in 2013. It was in Brisbane that Erin underwent her Pilates teachers training, studying Comprehensive Pilates for Rehabilitation with Polestar Pilates International. Erin uses both of these qualifications for her to understand the movement patterns of her clients and identifying any poor recruitment patterns that may be contributing to pain, dysfunction, or injury.
Erin has a clinical interest in the treatment of headaches, shoulder pain / injury, low back pain and a range of women’s health concerns, such as helping to alleviate the muscular pains associated with period pain and the changing biomechanics of the body during pregnancy.
Erin enjoys working with her clients to help alleviate pain and draws upon her Pilates expertise to prescribe personalised home-based programs to maintain health and wellness.
