What is a ‘health toolbox’?

‘Health’ is a journey, not a destination. As cliche as that sounds, it means that you have a lot more power than you think. Your health is constantly in a state of change in which your habits and knowledge are as important as your genetics and your environment.

At Pivot, we want to support you along your journey toward better health, but we know that the treatment room is only a tiny part of that journey. To achieve long-term results, you need to know what you can do when the pain hits or how to stop pain from starting in the first place. In other words, you need ‘tools’.

When we talk about ‘health tools’ we’re talking about all the things that can help you keep your body running well. These tools are often simple things, but our small habits lead to big changes over time.

At Pivot, we believe that the more ‘tools’ you acquire, the better mastery you’ll have over your pain. We like to think of each action you take to help relieve discomfort, whether that’s making an appointment with a health professional, doing a stretch or applying a heat patch, as a ‘tool’.
