Pregnancy Massage Brisbane
Pregnancy Massage Designed To Support You Through Every Stage Of Pregnancy
We provide pregnancy massage in Brisbane.
Pregnancy is an incredible experience, but it can also place significant demands on your body. As your baby grows, you may notice new aches and pains, difficulty getting comfortable, swelling, disrupted sleep, or simply a feeling that your body is working harder than ever before.
Our pregnancy massage therapist, Alessandra, has a special interest in supporting women through pregnancy and early motherhood. With previous qualifications in physiotherapy and osteopathy, postgraduate studies in women's health and pregnancy, and her own lived experience as a mother, she understands that pregnancy is about much more than physical discomfort alone.
Pregnancy massage offers an opportunity to slow down, take a breath, and focus on yourself for a moment. Working alongside our osteopaths, Alessandra provides care that can complement osteopathic treatment, helping women feel supported, comfortable, and cared for throughout their pregnancy journey.
Common Pregnancy Aches, Pains And Discomforts
Growing a baby requires your body to constantly adapt.
Your posture changes. Your centre of gravity shifts. Your ribs expand. Your pelvic joints and muscles respond to changing loads. Sleep can become more difficult. Everyday activities may suddenly feel harder than they once did.
It's common to experience:
Lower back pain
Pelvic girdle pain
Hip discomfort
Rib pain or tightness
Neck and shoulder tension
Leg discomfort
Swollen feet and ankles
Difficulty sleeping
Increased stress or tension
For some people these symptoms are mild. For others they can have a significant impact on comfort, movement, and day-to-day life.
Pregnancy massage provides a gentle way to support your body during these changes.
Massage Is More Than Relief For Aches And Pains
Many people expect pregnancy massage to simply help sore muscles.
While that can certainly be part of the experience, one of the biggest benefits can be having dedicated time to slow down and focus on themselves.
Pregnancy can be filled with appointments, planning, work, family responsibilities, and preparing for your baby's arrival.
Pregnancy massage creates space to pause.
Many people leave feeling:
More comfortable
More relaxed
Less tense
Better able to move
More connected to their body
Better prepared to manage the demands of pregnancy
Pregnancy massage can be an important part of a self-care routine throughout pregnancy.
Meet Alessandra
Pregnancy Massage From Someone Who Understands The Journey
Our pregnancy massage service is provided by Alessandra Ciaravino.
Originally from Italy, Alessandra brings a unique combination of training and lived experience to her work with pregnant and postpartum women.
Before moving to Australia, she completed qualifications in both physiotherapy and osteopathy and has since undertaken postgraduate studies in women's health and pregnancy, along with training as a remedial massage therapist.
This background has given her a strong understanding of the many physical changes that occur throughout pregnancy and recovery after birth.
As a mother herself, Alessandra also understands that pregnancy is about much more than muscles and joints. Having experienced her own fertility journey through IVF and now motherhood, she appreciates the physical, emotional, and hormonal changes that many women experience during this stage of life.
Patients often tell us they appreciate her calm and caring approach.
Her goal is simple: to create a space where women feel heard, comfortable, supported, and cared for throughout pregnancy and early motherhood.
